Words from the founder of BOLD

I believe that a BOLD girl is one who believes in and honors her true self. Luckily, I have been loved, supported and influenced by many BOLD women in my life. I was raised being told daily that I am precious and important by my parents. Not only was it said verbally, but it was literally written on every card or note that I ever received from my parents. This instilled in me a sense of confidence and strength to be my own self and to lead a life of conviction. As a very happily married adult and a parent of 2, I now realize how rare and special my childhood was. I want to create an opportunity and a place for my amazing daughter and so many other young women learn they are precious and important and to become BOLD!

I have dreamed of creating BOLD Inc., (nonprofit) for more than a decade. I am dedicated and passionate about creating a place for young women to learn to love, accept and cherish themselves and learn to celebrate the beauty and accomplishments of others. I have always believed that if we as women love ourselves and support and love each other, wonderfully magical things can happen. Yes, I'm an optimistic school counselor but I'm sticking to it!! :) This is also a wonderful opportunity to create a support system of accomplished female mentors who can empower young girls to be their truest selves. And…… we plan to create some pretty cool crafts out in the majestic north woods!
